2015
(13–16 November)
Seven starters for the event, including first-timer Nae, But Nae was never going to be the winner because he had pressing commitments elsewhere and was not able stay for the compulsory final nine holes at Binningup.
Day 1
It was 18 holes at Bunbury Golf Club. Chris and Steve led at the end of the day with 36 points each while Ronzo put in a solid 34 points and stroking his mo with a quiet air of confidence in between soaking his mo with a quiet whiskey or three.

Day 2
Off to tackle the front 9 holes at Binningup. Squancey bolted away with 20 points. Ronzo got 18 points (how did he get so consistent?) and the rest of the field were fairly ordinary. The day's play was all over by 10.00 am.
Back at the clubhouse there was a test match on TV so several hours (and several drinks) passed by. By mid-afternoon Nae and Steve were extolling the virtues of a topshelf bottle of vodka and before long a second bottle was served up and just about everybody had a tipple or two. The party was firing at this stage. Steve was in top form and came up with the bright idea of a 4WD run down the beach. All 7 of us piled into Steve's vehicle and we hit the beach. Steve thrilled us all as he powered along the beach, up sand dune mountains and through narrow bush tracks.

Black tie dinner followed and it was, as always, of the highest standard. For the second night in succession, Ron stayed up beyond 10.00 pm. Amazing!!
Day 3
It was 18 holes at Sanctuary and Steve was the standout with 38 points. Can you believe he had 9 pars!! Squancey (35) and Ronzo (34) also played well.

Cart driver of the year |
Tom had a moment of inattention on the 16th and drove his cart into a tree. Could have been very expensive but fortunately the dent in the cart popped back out. That night, Ron rewarded him with a special trophy for "cart driver of the year".
Leaderboard before the final 9 holes at Binningup was Squancey (55), Ronzo (52), Chris (51) and Steve (50). Squancey was in the box seat with a lead of 3 shots over Ron, and with Chris and Steve still in with a chance.
Day 4
The final 9 holes at Binningup happened and the results were amazing. Three of the four contenders had shockers and it was "Mr Consistent Jacko" that came to the fore with 21 points to claim outright victory by a clear 6 points from Squancey, followed by Steve.
To sum up, everybody thought that this was one of the greatest Binningup events. Steve said it all with the comment of the week:
"Binningup is all about the experience".
And there was another important announcement. Ron unveiled a new "Grand Slam" honour board.
